Environmental Audits

National Certification Body of Jamaica - Technical Expert providing services such as site evaluations/inspections, application reviews, report writing, on and off site activities such as document reviews, technical guidance during audit execution and technical training ( October 2012- date)

National Certification Body of Jamaica - Executive Committee (EC) member, who reviews EMS, QMS and Integrated EMS/QMS audit reports prepared by NCBJ auditors and recommends whether the entity can move on to the next stage of audits or if they can be certified (April 2011-date).

J. Wray and Nephew - EMS ISO 14001:2004 Internal Audit at the South Complex on Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11(September 2012)

Golden Grove Sugar Factory - Environmental Gap Audit at the Golden Grove Sugar Factory, St. Thomas with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (December 2011).

Hampden Distillery - Environmental Gap Audit at the Hampden Distillery, Trelawny with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (November 2011).

Clarendon Distillers Ltd. - Environmental Gap Audit at the distillery at Monymusk, Clarendon with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (September 2011)

J. Wray and Nephew - EMS ISO 14001:2004 Internal Audit at the South Complex on Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11(September 2011).

Long Pond Distillery - Environmental Gap Audit with recommendations to address weaknesses identified March 2011).

Appleton Sugar Factory - Environmental Gap Audit with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (January 2011).

New Yarmouth Distillery - Environmental Gap Audit with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (January 2011)

Nestle Jamaica Ltd. - Lead Auditor for a team of six (6) auditors for an ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System internal audit prior to the Stage 2 certification audit. Nestlé achieved ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification in December 2010 (November 2010).

J. Wray and Nephew - Internal auditor for some elements of the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (November 2010).

Appleton Distillery - Environmental Gap Audit with recommendations to address weaknesses identified (October 2010).

Nestle Jamaica Ltd. - Gap Audit to facilitate the implementation of an ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (August 2010).

WINDALCO (formerly ALCAN Jamaica Ltd.) - Environmental Engineering and Management Consultant. - Auditor, Compliance Auditor and Lead Auditor for scheduled Internal Audits of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (January 2000-March 2010).

Alumina Partners of Jamaica - Lead Internal Auditor for full system audit of the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) at ALPART. This was a requirement prior to the Stage 1 Certification audit by external auditors (July 2008).

Alumina Partners of Jamaica - Legal Compliance Audit required by the company for the implementation of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (April 2008).

February 2006 to September 2006

Jamaica Manufacturers' Association/ CIDA ENACT - Conducted Initial Environmental Reviews and sensitization in 10 private sector companies in preparation for their implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

September 2003 - April 2004

EAST Programme/USAID - In collaboration with P.A. Consultants, conducted an Environmental Audit of the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI), specifically contributing to the section on solid waste management.

June 2002 - October 2002

Coastal Water Quality Improvement Project (CWIP)/USAID - Conducted an Initial Environmental Review (IER) of the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) to establish the basis for an Environmental Audit and ultimately an Environmental Management System (EMS)

September 2003 - April 2004

EAST Programme/USAID - Conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment of the UHWI's proposed incinerator to replace their existing unit.
